High Pressure Sodium Lamps (HPS) – HPS lamps are the most efficient HID lamps. Their high ratio of lumens per watt enhances their energy-saving capabilities. HPS lamps are commonly used in areas where long bulb life and high efficiency are required. HPS lamps emit moderate color rendering and are often used in warehouses, parking garages and building flood lights.

Metal Halide Lamps – Metal Halide lamps are designed for general lighting applications such as commercial, industrial lighting and outdoor flood lighting. The chemical components called “metal halides” greatly improve both lumen and color performance. Metal Halide lamps provide highly efficient lighting for indoor and outdoor applications where color rendering is critical.

Mercury Vapor Lamps – Mercury Vapor lamps are designed for use in general lighting applications where good efficiency and long life are desired while color rendering requirements are moderate. Applications include street lighting, industrial hi-bays, parking lot lighting and general flood lighting.
